Forging Leadership, LLC delivers practical, high-impact leadership development rooted in real-world experience. Led by a veteran and Maxwell-certified leadership consultant, we offer powerful programs designed to elevate individuals, build strong teams, and drive lasting organizational results.
Program Offerings
These are some of the workshops we run most often. Think of them as a starting point rather than a fixed menu. Each one can be a short 60 to 90 minute training, a half-day workshop, or a piece of a longer development plan, and most engagements end up being some mix built around what your team actually needs. If you see two or three that fit, we can shape them into something coherent. If you see a gap, we can build for that too.
PERSONAL GROWTH FOR LEADERS
Most leaders never get a plan for their own growth. They plan for everyone else. This session helps a leader get intentional about their own development, so they are improving on purpose rather than by accident.
In this workshop, you will build a personal growth plan, get honest about where your gaps are, put a few high-performance habits in place, and strengthen the self-awareness and resilience that carry a leader through hard stretches.
COMMUNICATE LIKE A LEADER
Leadership runs on connection, and connection starts with how you communicate. This session works on the parts of communication that actually build trust and influence, not just the parts that sound good.
You will practice communicating clearly and authentically, learn how to handle the difficult conversations most people avoid, get better at listening to understand rather than just waiting to reply, and build the kind of trust that gives your words weight.
FOUNDATIONS OF LEADERSHIP
Leadership is about purpose, not position, and the jump into it is harder than most people expect. This session is built for new and newer leaders, especially anyone who just went from being one of the team to leading it.
You will work through the peer-to-leader transition, learn how to establish credibility and lead with a clear vision, get practical about setting expectations and holding people accountable, and build the confidence to handle the challenges that come with the role.
LEADING HIGH-PERFORMANCE TEAMS
The team you build and how you lead it is a large part of what you leave behind. This session is about leading a team in a way that actually raises its performance.
You will work on building a culture of trust and collaboration, learn to delegate in a way that empowers people instead of just offloading tasks, get tools for working through team conflict rather than around it, and line up your team's goals with the performance you are after.
STRATEGIC THINKING & DECISION-MAKING
A lot of leaders spend their days reacting. This session is about getting ahead of the work, thinking further out, and making decisions with more confidence and less second-guessing.
You will practice leading proactively rather than reactively, learn to make decisions that hold together and align with where you are going, build the habit of strategic foresight, and get better at balancing what needs to happen now against what matters long-term.
SUCCESSION PLANNING & TALENT DEVELOPMENT
Developing other people may be the highest form of leadership there is, and it is also how an organization protects its future. This session is about building leaders, not just filling seats.
You will learn to spot high-potential talent, mentor and coach the people who will lead next, build internal pipelines so you are not always hiring from outside, and plan leadership transitions so they strengthen the organization instead of disrupting it.

However, your team works best, we can meet it there. Sessions run on-site or virtually, and we work one-on-one, with small groups, or with a full team in the room. Every program is shaped around your industry, your people, and what you are actually trying to accomplish, rather than pulled from a fixed template.
